The green fields and tractors busy with work, present a pretty picture of the State’s prosperous farm life.

The scent of this fertile land is unmatched and the warmth of you-are-my-own is inborn in Punjabis and they treat every guest as a representative sent by God. The plains of this land of five rivers with their rich soil and abundant water supply are naturally suited to be the breadbasket for India. Myriad images of swaying emerald green fields and hearty people whose robust rustic ways of camaraderie and bonhomie, form a very important part of the state’s rich heritage. Punjab’s culture is one of the most talked about cultures in the world as it reflects color as well as happiness.
With a large population of Punjabi people spread in different parts of the world, the traditional Punjabi culture is being strengthened and expanded, which has led in increasing the scope for Punjabi Philosophy, poetry, spirituality, education, artistry, music, cuisine, architecture etc. People of different languages, cultures and customs visit the state to explore its rich music, dances like Bhangra, Jhumar and Gidha, cuisine, poetry, literature, as well as the wedding traditions. In addition to this, people also visit this state to enjoy various fairs and festivals that provide a glimpse of the rich heritage.
